Description

Peter Vincent is a con artist and sometimes actor, preparing for what he considers to be the “role of a lifetime,” the greatest act of his career. His job is to impersonate his own beneficiary, Mrs. Tina Vincent, to collect his own insurance. But Peter Vincent is about to discover that impersonating someone is tougher than he thought. Before he actually sets out on his task he will set up a small test run to prove to himself and others that he can carry out the impersonation.

A disillusioned actor, Peter Vincent, struggles to revive his fading career by faking his own death and impersonating his wife, Tina. Murray, Peter's skeptical friend, is drawn into the web of deceit. But Peter's identity begins to blur, and the plan forged in desperation leaves him adrift, forever changed by his own deception.

Actor Peter Vincent's career is dying, so he fakes his death and pretends to be his wife Tina to get famous again. His friend Murray gets pulled into the lies. But Peter starts losing track of who he really is, and his desperate plan leaves him lost and changed forever.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
