Description
Marcella Borden, now a U.S. senator and in town for a hearing, phones her college roommate of 30 years ago, Edna Everly, now a housewife and mother suffering from the ravages of middle age. Edna has long hated Marcella for her success and for having introduced her to her husband, James, whom she now despises. Edna takes a gun to Marcella’s hotel room, ready to murder her, but she’s not ready for Marcella’s reaction to the pointed pistol.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
