Golden Time
Description
An urgent late-night phone call turns into a bigger job than expected for plumber Harvey Stillson. But he agrees to fix a leaky water main in the basement for a neighbor in anticipation of racking up a lot of overtime or, “golden time.” The only problem is that when Harvey locates the leak, he also finds a big plastic bag bulging with a mysterious white powder.
A dimly lit basement is the setting for a hardboiled murder and the grim struggle of a plumber caught in a web of crime. Clara, a calculating woman, and Armand, her criminal partner, force the plumber to work for them or face dire consequences. As he weighs his options, the air crackles with tension.
In a dark basement, a plumber gets trapped in a deadly crime scheme. A cold woman named Clara and her criminal partner Armand give him a terrible choice: help them with their dirty work or face serious trouble. The plumber must decide what to do as danger fills the air around him.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
