Description
Sen. Melvin Blaisdell, just 42 and certain to be his party’s choice for president, assures his backers there will be no “surprises” that might hurt his chances to win. But he is not telling the truth. He’s the father of a child born out of wedlock, by a pretty librarian in his hometown. She swears she will never tell anyone about it. But that doesn’t mean the taxi driver who used to take him to the library or the child’s nosy nursery school teacher will keep their mouths shut.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
