Description
Henrietta Tufts, on her way to the top of a Detroit car company, falls in love with Sergio Varese during a three-week Caribbean cruise. The dashing Brazilian passes himself off as a wealthy shipping magnate, when in reality he just needs a rich woman to pay off his gambling debts. Love is blind, but Henrietta’s secretary isn’t, and his fiancée has just made detective sergeant in the local police force.
Catherine Turney's thriller, "The Christmas Cruise," stars Lurene Tuttle as Henrietta and John Beal as Sergio. Others in the cast are Harlow Wilcox, Paul Frees, and Wilma Bishop. A special holiday background is created by the music of Gleeor and the shipboard party sounds of Harry Hall. Joe McCrea wrote and directed the production.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
