Colleagues of Dr. Ramsey Joslin, who is working on a highly secret project that could destroy a civilization, became concerned about his sanity when he describes conversations with the ghost of his wife, Emily. Joslin has been asked by United States government agents to help Dr. Alexei Verdoga, a long-time Russian friend, defect to the U.S., but Emily’s ghost keeps telling her husband he should be careful what he says or does with the Russian scientist.
A scientist at Calhoun University, Ramsey Joslin, is haunted by his wife's death. As he communicates with her spirit, he learns that a visiting scientist, Vergoda, wants to defect. Ramsey's grief deepens while he and a colleague wrestle with the implications of the newfound knowledge and the growing tension among international agents.
Ramsey Joslin works as a scientist at Calhoun University and can't get over losing his wife. When her ghost talks to him, she tells him that a visiting scientist named Vergoda wants to switch sides. Ramsey feels even more sad while he and another scientist try to figure out what this means as spies from different countries start causing trouble.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
