He crash-lands the plane and is seriously injured, remaining in a coma for several weeks. After recovering, he marries his nurse, but soon becomes restless and volunteers for duty in the Philippines, where a jealous native woman tries, but fails, to kill him. Now, like the legendary cat, he has used up eight lives and has only one more to go.
A former military pilot struggles with his past while stationed at a base in the Philippines. The woman who loves him watches as he runs away to Manila, where he tries to live two different lives. Haunted by guilt, he must face what's coming when a plane crash decides his future.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
