Description
Dr. Harold Smiley is ready to go home from his office when three men force their way into his office. Smiley recognizes Pop Waldo, who, with the aid of two cohorts, forces Smiley to operate on an abdominal wound. By some miracle, the improvised surgery is a success, But Waldo isn’t satisfied. The gangster wants to turn himself in, and he wants Smiley’s help to do it.
Dr. Harold Smiley is about to leave his office when three men break in. Smiley knows Pop Waldo, who makes Smiley fix a bullet wound in his stomach with help from two other men. Against all odds, the makeshift operation works. But Waldo still isn't happy. The criminal wants to surrender to police, and he wants Smiley to help him do it.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
