Jerry, the Convincer
Description
Wealthy Carter Ellsworth can’t turn down an offer of $25,000 in cash from Jerry, the Convincer. All Ellsworth has to do is lend his cabin cruiser to take ashore a load of marijuana. But the boat’s landing is interrupted by a policeman who takes a bullet in the head from Jerry’s revolver. He’s the same cop who recently had given Ellsworth a speeding ticket and whom Ellsworth jokingly and publicly said he would have killed had he had a gun.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
