Killer Of The Year

Description

Harry Johnson used to be the pride of his wealthy Midwest town, but his world falls apart when a mysterious woman from his past shows up again. As he struggles between falling for her and doing what's right by turning her in, Harry faces her and learns who he really is.

A once-celebrated citizen of a prosperous Midwestern town, Harry Johnson, finds his life shattered by the return of a woman with a dark past. Torn between his growing feelings for her and the need to report her presence, he confronts her and discovers the truth about himself.

During a dinner in honor of his community work, Harry Johnson is introduced to the town's beautiful new librarian, Wilma Sloane. Harry recognizes her for what she is—an escaped convict sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a married lover, who wanted to leave her. When the perfect opportunity arises to turn Wilma over to the local police, Harry finds that he can't do it. Bewildered by her beauty and sophistication, he slips into an affair with her, realizing before long he will have to decide between Wilma and his wife Jenny. But when Harry tried to tell Wilma it's over, her reaction stuns him.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
