Kitty
Description
Holly Methune, on her way home after a night of dancing at the Kit Kat Club, fights off a man trying to pick her up. Because his doctor says he might lose an eye from scratches inflicted by Holly, the man charges her with assault. Later, he is found dead in his apartment, his throat scratched wide open. Three more deaths by scratching follow, and the police begin to wonder whether Holly and her sister, Kitty, a cat lover, could in any way be involved.
The mystery of a series of bizarre murders in a big city is complicated by the strange behavior of Kitty Mathune, a woman with a mysterious connection to cats. Lieutenant Dan McKenzie’s investigation leads him to a crypt, a cat goddess, and Kitty’s tragic end in a confrontation that exposes her mental turmoil.
Lieutenant Dan McKenzie hunts for a killer behind weird murders across the city, but things get tricky when he meets Kitty Mathune, a strange woman who acts oddly around cats. His search takes him to an old tomb where he finds a cat goddess and learns the truth about Kitty's troubled mind before she meets her sad fate.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
