Description
A conflicted young man, under pressure to kill his uncle for an inheritance, finds his moral compass tested by a clever, insightful ape at the zoo. After the two of them cooperate to escape their enclosure, the ape's surprising display of empathy and bravery helps the young man escape from the path of crime.
A troubled young guy faces demands to murder his uncle for money, but his sense of right and wrong gets challenged when he meets a smart, wise ape at the zoo. When they work together to break out of the cage, the ape shows unexpected kindness and courage that helps the young man turn away from a life of crime.
Waldo and Edna, prize attractions at the Bronx Zoo, overhear Carl Carrol and Martha Tyson plan to kill his rich uncle. But what can two apes, behind bars, do to either stop the murder or bring the two killers to the attention of the police? The murder is committed, and now only two apes and two humans know whodunit. Can Waldo bring the killers to justice?
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
