Description
In the town of Moulins, Mayor Jean Valjean quietly aids needy people, but Inspector Javert thinks he might be a former prisoner using a false name; at the same time, when desperate woman Fantine faces terrible trouble, Valjean must take risky actions in public to help her while keeping his true identity hidden.
In Moulins, where he is mayor, Jean Valjean secretly helps the poor, but is suspected by Inspector Javert of being an ex-convict in hiding; meanwhile, the plight of the despairing Fantine drives Valjean into his most dangerous public acts to save her and protect his identity.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
