Description

On a charter flight to a tennis tournament, Susan Talbot, a celebrated player, meets Rosie Roder, a wise elderly woman. After the plane crashes in the Alps, the survivors face a dire struggle against nature that tests their character and brings Susan to a momentous decision about her career and her future with Tony, her singer-lover.

The plane that is taking Susan Talbot to compete in a Rome tennis tournament is caught in a sudden downdraft and crashes into the Swiss Alps. Of the five who are still alive, Susan and Juan Miron, an official of a despotic government, are uninjured. Juan who is carrying a gun, orders Susan to leave the others and help him climb down the mountains to safety.

During a plane trip to a tennis competition, famous player Susan Talbot becomes friends with Rosie Roder, an older woman full of wisdom. When their aircraft goes down in the Alps mountains, the people who survive must fight hard against the wild to stay alive, which challenges who they really are and forces Susan to make a big choice about her tennis career and whether to stay with Tony, her boyfriend who sings.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
