Marry for Murder
Description
Despite having different agendas, a pair of sisters engage the services of the same private detective to look into the affairs of the same man.
Two sisters hire the same private detective to investigate the same man, even though each sister wants different things.
Wealthy widow Ann Trainor’s family is so opposed to her impending marriage to Walter Jones that they hire private detective Jim Kellogg to prevent it. The family sees Jones as a swindler, marrying Ann only for her money with plans to murder her later, which is allegedly what he did to his first two wives, who were also rich. All of Kellogg’s efforts to dissuade Ann prove unsuccessful—even his attempt, as a last resort, to make her fall in love with him.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
