Murder by Proxy

Description

After getting out of jail, Tim Cohain wants to get back at Ed Hunter, the head juror who helped send him to prison.

Flying home to Chicago, businessman Alexander Hunter is accosted by Tim Cohane, just out of jail. Hunter was foreman of the jury that declared Cohane guilty, and Cohane, with little to live for, promises Hunter he will soon kill him and later, if he’s not caught, all other members of the jury. Cohane is amazed at Hunter’s cool reaction, his statement that there is little a person can do to stop an assassin who’s willing to die for his cause.

Finally released from prison, Tim Cohain is out for revenge against the jury foreman that put him there in the first place- Ed Hunter.

A businessman encounters a recently released convict on a flight to Chicago. The ex-prisoner, whom the businessman convicted as jury foreman, threatens revenge against him and other jurors, claiming that a determined assassin willing to sacrifice himself cannot be stopped.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
