Murder Most Foul

Description

In the midst of thunder and lightning, two returning warriors, Macbeth and Banquo, meet three witches who make several strange predictions. Shortly thereafter, Macbeth is profoundly stirred when one prophecy is fulfilled: King Duncan names him his thane of Cawdor. Unsatisfied, Macbeth decides to make the second prophesy come true and, aided by Lady Macbeth, secretly kills Duncan and becomes king himself. However, Macbeth is haunted by the murder and the witches' last prediction: that Banquo's son will succeed him as king.

A proud lord gets trapped by a scary prediction in this story about pride and wanting power too much.

In this Shakespearean drama of arrogance and blind ambition, a nobleman falls victim to a chilling prophecy.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed.
