My Fair Lady-Killer

Description

A series of deaths involving loose and promiscuous women lead a police detective to believe that the crimes are perpetrated by a serial killer. After narrowing the list of suspects, he is disturbed by the fact that the evidence points to the one person who does not fit the criminal profile supplied by the experts.

During their investigation of the murders, all of which took place in the same neighborhood, police are told by their psychiatrist to look for a shy, middle-aged, repressed unmarried man who lives alone or with his mother and has been singularly unsuccessful with women. But their prime suspect is just the opposite—a young, married, flamboyant landscape gardener who, in the eyes of many women, is as handsome as a Greek god.

A police detective investigates murders of women who sleep around and realizes a serial killer is behind the deaths. When he narrows down the suspects, he's shocked to find the evidence points to someone who doesn't match what the experts said the killer would be like.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
