Night Eyes

Description

A horse-tender winds up killed after he finds out that a slow horse has been replaced by a similar looking one. But miraculous coincidences reveal the plan and forces the owner's wife to search for the facts.

A stable worker gets murdered when he discovers that a sluggish racehorse has been switched with a lookalike. However, amazing chance events expose the scheme and make the owner's wife hunt for the truth.

Former prizefighter and now track employee Nate Forrest informs wealthy racehorse owner Richard Starbright that his never-win thoroughbred, Turkish Taffy, with whom Forrest says he has talked a lot, has been replaced in its stall by another horse that’s a double, for T.T. Starbright knows all about it—he hopes to, and does, win a bundle with the substitute steed. But neither he nor his trainer can afford to let Forrest spread the word about the new horse. The trainer says he knows an excellent way to keep Forrest from talking.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
