Nightmare in Gillette Castle

Description

When a couple on tour visit the home of the biggest actor to portray the legendary Sherlock Holmes on the big screen, they are unexpectedly forced to spend the night in the castle. They soon find that they have become part of a crime scene with the real Sherlock Holmes leading the investigation!

Jim Watson, a Sherlock Holmes aficionado, has a special interest in visiting Gillette Castle, the dank home of long-dead Sherlock Holmes actor William Gillette. But when Jim and his wife Pamela are separated from the castle tour group, they take a wrong turn down a corridor called “Baker Street” and come face to face with the castle’s builder, dead since 1937.

A man and woman on vacation go to see the house of the most famous movie star who played Sherlock Holmes. They get stuck staying overnight at his castle when they didn't plan to. Soon they discover they're caught up in a real crime, and the actual Sherlock Holmes shows up to solve the case!

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
