Out of the Past

Description

When an artist working for a TV station spots someone during a court trial who he thought died years ago, he gets confused and puzzled. Meanwhile, a police officer in town tries to figure out what's really going on with the case.

Barry Jordan, who has been supported by his wife Meg, a lawyer, is asked by a television station to draw sketches during a trial of three men accused of armed robbery and murder. The trial was set up to draw out the missing fourth man in the crime and, during a recess, Jordan idly begins to sketch the crowd, which contains a frighteningly familiar face.

After seeing a man he long since believed to be dead, an artist hired by a local TV station to do sketches during a trial becomes mystified. At the same time, a local cop works to solve the case.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
