Raptures of the Deep

Description

Two former U.S. Navy frogmen—Steve Carr and Cobb Straker—agree to dive for treasure hunter J. Calvin Hunter, who claims he knows the exact location of a Spanish ship sunk in the Atlantic in 1663. Carr is able to dive the deepest, and what he discovers he can’t believe. A beautiful woman surrounded by man-shaped scaly creatures takes him much deeper—to what he later learns is the lost island of Atlantis and a very advanced underwater civilization.

A Greek diver hunting for treasure on a legendary Spanish shipwreck discovers the lost city of Atlantis and learns about its mysterious past.

The search of a sunken Spanish galleon fabled for its treasures leads a Greek diver to find the mythical city of Atlantis and know of its strange history.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
