In an 1880s frontier town, a rich man arrives seeking payback against three men who hurt him long ago, and his motives for revenge are shocking.
Jade Wanamaker, a quiet domestic man, and Herbert Beall, a hard-drinking bachelor addicted to nightly poker games, have each acquired a small fortune. They’re living the grand life until a stranger comes to town and lets it be known he has some business to settle with them. Determined to make both pay for their transgressions, he plans to use an old Oriental principle to force them to attack him and then use their own energy against them.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
