Description
A Senator learns his daughter lives with a criminal in Europe who is being watched by the Senator's own committee. He worries this will destroy his chances in politics.
The defiant daughter of Senator Henry C. Winstead announces her plans to marry Vittorio Tedesco, living in exile in Naples, Italy, after being cited for income tax invasion by one of the senator’s subcommittees. Tedesco knows he can destroy the senator’s chances for the presidential nomination if he goes through with the marriage. Tedesco therefore offers an ultimatum. His price: forget the income tax rap and let him return to the United States. For the senator, he must decide which of his lives—public or private—is more important.
A Senator finds out that his daughter is living with a known felon in Europe who is already on the watch list of his commission. He fears this could ruin his political aspirations.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
