Description

An actor playing the role of a police detective in a drama series finds himself sucked into the delusional world of a woman hooked on romance films when she asks him to help her locate her missing husband. Things start to get sticky when the actor begins to confuse fantasy with reality.

She manages to sneak undetected into his apartment, but when he makes a pass at her, Mayetta retaliates by hitting him with a poker and unintentionally leaving her M. M. initialed handkerchief beside his dead body. The police immediately suspect Hollister’s jealous leading lady, whose initials are also M. M.

A TV actor who plays a cop on a drama show gets pulled into the fantasy world of a woman obsessed with romantic movies after she asks him to find her missing husband. The situation becomes complicated when the actor starts mixing up make-believe with real life.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
