Description
A police officer must solve the biggest case of his life- the disappearance of his wife who was kidnapped by an obsessed fan who intends to marry her!
Sidney Prout has followed the television soap opera life of Betsy Campbell for more than three years. He’s fallen in love with the character she portrays and is upset because she will “wed” her leading man in an upcoming broadcast. Because he wants to marry her, Prout kidnaps Betty, takes her to an isolated building, keeps her quiet with chloroform and starts making preparations for their wedding.
A cop faces his toughest case ever when he has to find his missing wife, who was taken by a crazy fan determined to make her his bride.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
