Description
A newlywed woman purchases a painting at an auction. The painting shows her husband's first wife, who was killed by robbers.
While attending an art auction, Anita Sutcliffe, who loves and trusts her husband completely, is much taken by a painting and buys it. She soon discovers by accident that the painting is a portrait of her husband’s former wife, who had been murdered during a robbery. This is shocking enough, but even more shocking is the fact that Anita doesn’t know that her husband had been married before.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
