Sophia and the Pilgrim
Description
A strange mystic charms young women into following him on his trip. His mysterious influence makes them forget who they are, chant indecipherable doctrine, get depressed and die. A gentleman decides to interfere as his friend's daughter gets under the mystic's spell too.
A weird holy man tricks young ladies into joining his journey. His dark power makes them lose their memories, speak strange words, become sad and pass away. A man steps in to help when his friend's daughter falls under the holy man's control.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
