The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet

Description

After a noble family pawns their coronet to a bank in exchange for a 50,000 pound loan, banker Alexander Holder brings it home and locks it up for safekeeping, telling only his immediate family of its hiding place. Holder infers that Arthur's gambling debts account for his motive, but Holmes thinks Arthur is innocent.
