Description
When Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson find a Christmas goose stuffed with a precious gem and an old hat, they must track down who the goose belongs to.
So often proved wrong by the astute Holmes, Inspector Lestrade feels a measure of satisfaction when he arrives at 221 B. Baker Street with a warrant for the private detective's arrest for the possession of stolen goods. Holmes has in hand the Countess of Morcar's priceless stone, a blue carbuncle, found in the crop of a goose that was dropped by a slightly intoxicated man when accosted by a bunch of toughs.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
