Description
Bert Gilbert is in a deep funk, having just flunked the exam to make detective for the third time. So when a shady character named Blass offers Bert the chance to steal a pocketful of diamonds, he agrees to the plan. Is Bert really giving up on the force, or is he just trying another way to make detective?
An experienced cop grows bitter when he is overlooked for a promotion in favor of his partner. His resentment causes him to fall to the dark side and his wife and former partner must save him from himself.
A veteran police officer becomes angry and resentful after his partner gets promoted instead of him. His bitterness turns him bad, and now his wife and old partner have to rescue him before he destroys himself.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
