The Boscombe Pool Mystery

Description

Sherlock Holmes works to clear a young man blamed for killing his own father. Though the proof looks rock-solid against him, Holmes picks it apart piece by piece.

Sherlock Holmes solves the murder mystery of a young man who is accused of murdering his father. The evidence seems irrefutable, but Holmes dissects it.

Sherlock Holmes is called to Boscombe Valley by Susan Turner, James McCarthy's fiancé, to investigate the murder of his father, for which he is charged. James, seen arguing with his father near Boscombe Pool minutes before the murder, won't say what they were arguing about or why he had just returned from Bristol. But Holmes and Watson are able to deduce some likely answers, pointing them in the direction of the real murderer.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
