Description
Fortunato Bellini, to whom vineyard owner Arno Montresor is deeply in debt, demands a cask of Amontillado wine and payment of his debt. Montresor, who has borne a thousand insults from Bellini, can find no Amontillado nor can he pay what he owes.
A troubled wine maker in Tuscany watches his wife make a terrible deal with a greedy lender, then loses her to a vengeful killer and plans to murder two people during the wild Carnival celebration.
As his wife embraces a vile bargain with an insatiable creditor, a tortured Tuscany vintner loses her life to revenge and plots a double murder under swirling Carnival lights.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
