The Children of Death
Description
In a world where men and women are forced to live apart, a dangerous contest begins. In this game, they must track down and kill each other to claim the greatest reward-- the right to have children.
Gold, the son of the High Priest, is now old enough to meet a member of the women’s tribe in combat. If he can overcome her, he must bring her home to become the mother of his son (never a daughter), after which she will be killed. If he loses, he will receive the same fate at the hands of the women. Gold has developed doubts about this way of life and is uncertain as he goes out to face a woman. This is a future world where hate prevails and men and women are divided into hostile tribes, a condition warranted by the gods.
In a time where men and women have been segregated to live alone, a deadly game is born. A game wherein they must hunt each other down to win the ultimate prize-- a chance at procreation.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
