Description
An anthropologist stumbles across a letter written during the Civil War indicating that a group of veterans may have discovered the secret of immortality. In order to validate the information, he tries to locate the whereabouts of the soldiers named in the missive.
A scientist who studies people finds an old Civil War letter that suggests some soldiers might have found a way to live forever. To prove if this is true, he searches for the men mentioned in the letter.
“Bick” Bixby discovers an old letter written by a soldier to his wife about the special reason why he and only a few others were returning from the Civil War unharmed. His plan was to find a place where he and his family could start their own village in total seclusion. Now, more than a century later, Bick wants to find that village and learn the secret this small band of settlers discovered so long ago.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
