Description
A strange carved picture of a house reveals someone copying an old crime. When a curious husband and wife inherit the carving, they search for clues about what it means and discover a dark secret about a friend's family.
Ted and Diana Norris, asked to evaluate an art collection willed to a New Hampshire university, come across a 25-year-old engraving of a mansion near which a murder had been committed. The couple is fascinated by a crouching man who appears in a corner of the engraving but then disappears. Next they see the man on the mansion’s porch, then climbing through an open window. The Norrises consider taking up residence on the island of St. Croix, or anywhere away from New Hampshire.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
