Description
Chad Roberts, a poor ranch hand, and Carey Randall are very much in love. Standing in their way is Carey’s rich and powerful father, J. B., who arranges a match for Carey with a man twice her age. When Chad and Carey decide to elope, Chad’s brother, Rusty, gives them a large sum of money he’s stolen from J. B., and the three head for Nevada with J. B.’s men in pursuit. It looks like they’ll make it until Chad is bitten by a rattlesnake and they must decide whether to go back or continue on. Either decision could prove fatal to Chad.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
