The Four-Fifteen Express

Description

A man meets an ex-acquaintance on a train journey who has apparently swiped 75,000 Pounds Sterling. The man is accused of complicity at first and then he is written off with a simple mistaken identity.

A railroad passenger receives a compartment for his journey on the 4:15 express from London. Despite being assured of traveling alone, he encounters another passenger claiming to carry substantial company funds in cash. When Langford later mentions this encounter to friends at his destination, they confine him to his room, fearing involvement with the passenger who had absconded with the money three months ago.

A guy runs into someone he used to know while traveling by train, and this person seems to have stolen 75,000 British pounds. At first, people think the guy helped with the theft, but then they realize they just got the wrong person.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
