The Frontiers of Fear

Description

A broken-down man gets an old typewriter from a secondhand store. The machine turns out to be like the magical goose that makes golden eggs. But maybe gold isn't all it can give. What if it wants blood instead?

Looking for a stake to bet on the day’s races, hustler Harry Dorn enters a pawnshop and finds himself inexplicably drawn to a worn typewriter. Finding that he only has to touch the keys and the machine will type remarkable stories that come true, Dorn is not too surprised when the machine begins talking and orders him to do its bidding.

A defeated man buys an ancient typewriter from a pawn shop. The typewriter reveals itself to be like the Goose that lays golden eggs. But gold might not be the only thing it has to offer. What if it is blood?

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
