Description
A con man gets executed for murdering a journalist who exposed him. When he dies, he gets the chance to come back to life and fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a writer. But now he wonders if that's what he still wants.
A hustler is hanged for killing a reporter who wrote about him. After death, he is offered a second chance at life where his cherished dream of being a writer might be granted. But does he want it anymore?
Andy Masefield helps Jerome Carlson write an article on how a fraudulent real estate deal is put together. It's Andy's true story, and Carlson later feels compelled to testify against him. To prevent this, Andy kills Carlson, arranging beforehand to have a witness swear he was 37 miles away at the time of the murder. But as he's leaving the scene of the crime, Andy is stopped by a policeman and told his license plate number has just made him a winner in a radio giveaway show.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
