The Ghost of San Juan Hill
Description
A woman's dead husband, who everyone thought died in the Spanish-American War, comes back to life and creates total mayhem.
Bobby Halstead was killed in Cuba while carrying Old Glory up San Juan Hill during the Spanish-American War. Mariah, Bobby’s wife of a few days, now plans to marry Woody Bennet, who, even though he was Bobby’s bosom pal, plotted with Mariah to get Bobby to enlist in the Rough Riders. The night before the wedding ceremony, Mariah sees Bobby’s ghost. Nevertheless, Woody insists she go through with the wedding—until he, too, gets a glimpse of Bobby’s apparition.
Chaos ensues with the resurrection from the dead of the bride's deceased husband who had supposedly perished in the Spanish-American War.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
