The Golden People
Description
Richard Paradon is blessed with good looks, smarts, charm, skill, and a knack for making money -- or rather, a talent for tricking women out of their cash. Then he meets a woman who makes him fall head over heels the moment he sees her. Can he leave his old ways behind to be good to this woman? After all, she swore she would never abandon him -- not even when she dies!
Richard Paradon has it all, looks, brains, charm, talent, and the ability to make money -- or should I say the ability to bilk women out of theirs. Then he meets a woman he falls in love with at first sight. Can he put his past behind him to treat this woman right? She did promise to never leave him -- even in death!
Richard Parradon has been attracted to many beautiful, wealthy women and even engaged to a few, but never long enough to marry one. Then he meets and falls in love with Louisa, a schoolteacher who is neither rich nor pretty. Unimpressed, Louisa considers Richard to be one of “the golden people” born with the looks and luck to get what they want. But, finally, Louisa can’t resist him any longer and agrees to marry, only to find out what a tarnished person Richard really is.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
