The Good Shepherds
Description
French priests and doctors work with the Underground resistance to hide Jewish children from Nazi troops.
In order to ensure the safety and protection of children of Jewish descent from Nazi soldiers, the local clergy as well as several doctors cooperate with the French Underground in order to hide them.
When Msgr. Jean-Auguste’s Sunday Mass is shattered by Nazi gunfire, the elderly curate immediately makes plans to hide the children whose parents died in the massacre. His work grows to include a network of doctors, farmers and the clergy of France that hides children of those rounded up for concentration camps. Then Jean-Auguste himself is captured, and his friends fear the old man will break under SS pressure.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
