Description
Despite his marriage to a wealthy widow, a young short-order cook refuses to break up with his former lover. When his wife discovers his infidelity, she throws him out in a fit of jealous rage. He is suspected of foul play when his wife mysteriously disappears.
A young diner cook marries a rich widow but won't leave his old girlfriend. His wife finds out he's cheating and kicks him out in anger. When the wife goes missing, people think he might have hurt her.
A poor cook gets married to a wealthy matron very unexpectedly, rushing the services to top speed. But the marriage comes to a quick halt when the cook learns that he is the prime suspect in a murder investigation, of which his wife is the slab.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
