The Hills of Arias

Description

In order to escape the rising dictatorship, a Central American revolution flees the country and starts a new life in America as a college professor. Despite being miles away, the revolutionist blood in him refuses to be silenced.

A Central American rebel escapes his homeland's growing dictatorship and begins fresh in America as a college teacher. Even though he's far from home, his revolutionary spirit won't stay quiet.

Francisco Canoyas, a once-revered revolutionary hero, is now living a quiet American life, far from the turmoil in his old country. His mundane existence is interrupted by his 20-year-old godson, who urges Francisco to return to his country and again lead his people to victory. The young man’s pleas are seconded by the spirits of those who fought with Francisco in the last revolution, including his first—and very dead—wife.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
