Description

Years ago, Inspector Charles Allan was in love with Jessie Havermeyer. Now, he is trying to find out who recklessly ran her down in the middle of the night. Thanks to the police officer’s snooping wife, clues are appearing which indicate that Jessie might have been ruthlessly murdered.

When asked to complete a report on the death of a rich socialite, a police officer unwittingly discovers a homicide. To make matters worse, the deceased was a former flame. The detective solves the case with the help of his insightful wife.

A police officer gets assigned to write up a report about a wealthy socialite's death, but he accidentally uncovers a murder. Things get complicated because the dead woman used to be his girlfriend. His smart wife helps him crack the case.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
