Description
A fake fortune-teller and a broke dreamer strike it rich when they meet by accident, thanks to the con man's special birth as the seventh boy born to a man who was also a seventh son.
Being born under a lucky star as the seventh son of a seventh son, a charlatan and a hard-up dreamer become extremely wealthy after a chance encounter.
Mendel, a dealer of horses in a small Central European village in the early 1800s, owes the local lord 250 kroner, and, to make matters worse, his inability to come up with a dowry loses his daughter’s suitor. It seems like more bad luck when a bandit catches him alone in the forest, but the clever bandit has a scheme he claims will make them both rich.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
