Description
As Vesuvius erupts, now beset by chaos, Marcus and his beloved Oriana struggle to escape while their blind servant Lydia risks her life to save an abandoned baby, unaware that an enemy has turned their rescue into a deadly standoff on the waterfront.
When Mount Vesuvius explodes and throws everything into chaos, Marcus and his love Oriana fight to get away safely while their blind helper Lydia puts herself in danger to rescue a baby left behind, not knowing that someone who wants to hurt them has turned their escape into a dangerous trap at the docks.
Marcus, Oriana and Lydia huddle in Orianas garden as Pompeiis terror-stricken populace clog the citys streets, now knee-deep in ashes. Its pitch dark, but Lydia says she can find their way to the ship. They find one of Diomeds boats ship-shape and start rowing toward the bay.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
