The Last Days of Pompeii, Part Three: Half Prophet, Half Fiend

Description

The weight of Pompeii's corrupt justice system bears down on architect Marcus Rufus, who must prove his innocence in the arena against a killer lion while his blind servant Lydia and fiancée Oriana race to expose the man who framed him to conceal his own murderous scheme.

Architect Marcus Rufus faces the corrupt courts of Pompeii and must fight a deadly lion in the arena to prove he's innocent, while his blind servant Lydia and his fiancée Oriana work quickly to catch the real killer who set him up to hide his own murder plot.

Because the Senate cannot come to a decision on Marcus guilt, its members leave the judgment to the gods by forcing him to face a lion in the arena. Only Calvus the tavern keeper can save him. He was an eyewitness to the murder and saw the high priest, Arbaces, not Marcus, wield the dagger.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
