An old charter boat captain is set-up as the fall guy for murder of her husband by a scheming woman and her good-for-nothing lover.
A scheming woman and her worthless boyfriend frame an elderly fishing boat captain for killing the woman's husband.
Captain Clint Hodges charters his tugboat, Sally, for fishing parties, but his best—and last—customers are Cecil Ordway and his business associates who do more gambling than fishing. When the Sally explodes at sea, Ordway is killed and, Captain Hodges makes it to shore. A tackle box full of money and Hodges’ gun in the rescue dingy implicate him as a murderer, but the police discover that others also wanted to sink the Sally.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
